How bad office culture reshaped my career path – a story of me
Περιγραφη ομιλιας
I worked at a Korean organisation in Jordan for a year before becoming a filmmaker, which ended with a long trail of office harassment disputes. During the recent years, I have realised that this happens to a lot of people. I have met a number of bright people who had to quit their jobs due to the frustration with company cultures, resulting in a big loss of human resources.
I learnt that Korea and Greece have some common characteristics on the working culture — long working hours, hierarchy, and the importance of personal relationships in professional settings — and these two countries seem to be having similar issues as well. This is my story, how bad office culture reshaped my career path and what can we do about it.
